These two musicians of unequalled renown have much in common; their shared interests led to their meeting and working together and were key aspects for the survival of this collaborative project.Iain McMaster of Montreal (Kolumkilli) and Aidan Baker of Toronto both have an affinity for the arts, intense, unrestricted music and strive to produce dense sonic works composed of reduced layers. Consequently, their sources vary: compacted and richly meandering guitars confound electronic textures, manipulated voices. If Kolumkilli has produced a unique record for the Brise-Cul label and operates at the heart of Panospria, his “opponent” is a pioneer of sorts of Canadian experimental music. His discography is important, his number of collaborations intimidating, and his concerts attract a larger audience each time. Let us also highlight the Nadja project, whose first opus is out on Alien8, which allowed Aidan Baker to gain a top spot among the followers of the interesting music stream know as Doom Metal.
