[CANADIAN PREMIERE]

Northern soul, deep house, and the new disco all converge in the hands of young Manchesterite David James Wolstencroft, who improbably began his career as Trus’me in 2006 when he sent out some of the bedroom tracks he’d been working on privately to a number of labels and found himself being courted by practically all of them.

What resulted was a series of EP’s for the highly respected Still Music label out of Chicago, followed by the debut album, Working Nights (Fat City, 2007), whose title track was listed by Gilles Peterson as one of the BBC’s Singles of the Year. Last year Wolstencroft started his own label, Prime Numbers, on which he intends to release his own music and that of other well-known producers.
