MUTEK is looking for a dynamic and experienced individual to join its team as a head of professional activities.

About MUTEK
Founded in 2000, MUTEK is an NPO dedicated to the diffusion and development of emerging forms of digital creativity and electronic music. Its main activity is the annual presentation of the MUTEK festival in Montreal, which will be its 23rd edition in 2022. The organization is also very active on the international scene, with permanent editions of the festival in Mexico, Spain, Japan, and Argentina, as well as occasional and recurring collaborations with partners around the globe.

In parallel to the dissemination activities, MUTEK develops and produces a wide range of professional, educational, and mediation activities each year, including conferences, workshops, laboratories, and networking activities. These elements are grouped mainly within the MUTEK Forum, the professional component of the festival, which is held in August each year, but some projects are held outside of the festival or are spread out over the entire year. Advocating the decompartmentalization of disciplines, MUTEK's professional activities bridge the gap between the arts and the digital creative industries and cover a wide range of themes, from electronic music to the culture of moving images, the creative digital economy, and technological creativity in general. They aim at the professional development of participants and seek to stimulate reflection on ethical and political issues related to technology and the digital.

  • 7 editions of the XR Salon (2015-2021)
