(taxes and fees included)It’s no secret that data is revolutionizing the music industry. Record labels are pivoting their music discovery process to seek new talent from combing through streaming, social and touring data to track early predictors of success. Meanwhile, streaming and social media platforms are becoming increasingly dependent on their data-backed algorithms to best serve audiences – and to hold their attention for longer. As the music business continues to become more data-driven, opportunities for artists to understand the value in analyzing user behaviour and adapting strategies based on specific metrics have emerged. Data analytics has opened up a world of market intelligence, from platform-owned dashboards like Spotify for Artists to various music data analytics tools.
This panel aims to equip artists with the tools they need to best utilize data in order to build stronger campaigns for their music. The conversation will explore how artists can use data to set benchmarks and measurable goals within their holistic marketing plans. Drawing on practical examples, capabilities and trends will be explored to best demonstrate what type of insights truly matter in order to meet objectives. Understanding these key approaches provides new opportunities for artists to shape their music marketing strategies.
