(taxes and fees included)This panel brings together Analucia Roeder, Sol Rezza, and Gabrielle Harnois-Blouin to investigate the use and effects of intensity in electronic music and audiovisual digital arts. How, as artists, technicians, and audience, do we relate to loudness, brightness, scale, density or speed? Through field work and theory, speakers will discuss different ways in which intensity can reshape our perception of immersion; how it can affect our experiences of performances or creative processes, and how it sits with technology. Notions such as responsibility, care, diversity of perception, and power will feed our conversation.
AMPLIFY D.A.I is an initiative of the British Council in partnership with MUTEK Montréal, MUTEK Buenos Aires, Artlab in Argentina, Oi Futuro in Brazil and Somerset House Studios in the UK. The programme is supported by Canada Council for the Arts, Instituto Nacional de la Música and Fundación Williams.
Activity in English and Spanish languages.
