Frances Adair MckenzieCA/QC

Frances Adair Mckenzie (she/her) is an interdisciplinary artist based in Montréal whose practice includes video installation, sculpture, animation, and collaborative ventures. Her stop-motion virtual reality piece, The Orchid and the Bee, was developed with the National Film Board of Canada (NFB) and had its world premiere at 2020 Annecy International Animation Festival. She holds a diploma in New Media from B.C.I.T. and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Concordia University. She is currently an artist in residency at the Fonderie Darling in Montréal.

AMPLIFY D.A.I is an initiative of the British Council in partnership with MUTEK Montréal, MUTEK Buenos Aires, Artlab in Argentina, Oi Futuro in Brazil and Somerset House Studios in the UK. The programme is supported by Canada Council for the Arts, Instituto Nacional de la Música and Fundación Williams.
