Emerging voices and special event
A selection of propositions, currently standing out worldwide for their originality, occupies an essential place in the program such as Aya, Ayesha, Bored Lord, Lamin Fofana, Maara, N3ZHA and Rhyw.
Finally, MUTEK invests the New City Gas for a unique evening and an exceptional triple bill bringing together the new electronic projects of Kara-Lis Coverdale and Patrick Watson as well as saxophonist Colin Stetson, for his first performance at the festival.
MUTEK invites the public to follow its communications to ensure they are aware of the full program next May. Passports and Weekend Passes are already on sale at an advantageous rate, including discounts for students and groups. Each purchase supports EarthPercent, a charitable organization founded by Brian Eno founded by Brian Eno to positively channel the impact of the music industry on the planet.
This event is part of a remarkable year for the MUTEK network, which has been bringing together artistic communities from around the world for 25 years in Montreal, 20 years in Mexico, and 15 years in Barcelona.
MUTEK Forum, the international market dedicated to visionary ideas in digital creativity, presents an expanded and enriching program.
Running parallel to the Festival and also celebrating a highly symbolic anniversary, the 10th edition of MUTEK Forum will once again bring together artists, researchers, technology professionals, digital experts, and innovators from August 20 to 23, 2024.
The iconic Monument-National will transform into a dynamic center for creative technology, offering four days of dynamic presentations, panels, practical workshops, captivating masterclasses, stimulating film screenings, and an abundance of networking activities. Firmly rooted in innovation, the Forum gathers personalities from around the world to explore the latest trends in digital creation, artificial intelligence (AI), extended reality (XR), video games, sustainability, and music creation.
Ahead of the Forum, MUTEK organizes the first Future Festivals Summit on Monday, August 19, a gathering for all Quebec and international festival actors to collectively imagine and innovate the future of digital art gatherings.
MUTEK Forum passports are now on sale via the MUTEK Box office.
The first speakers will be announced next month. Access to the Future Festivals Summit is included in the MUTEK Forum passport, and a pre-registration link will be sent to purchasers at the time of the official announcement of the activity. Day passes for the MUTEK Forum and the Future Festivals Summit will go on sale in the spring.
MUTEK would like to thank its partners who play a considerable role in maintaining and developing its activities and who have particularly supported the realization of the Festival.
