Tarta Relena presents a new album that flirts with the notion of tragic thinking: diverse characters find themselves facing inescapable consequences, at once known and unknown. A conceptual combination of what fate has in store for us, our thirst for knowledge, and our inability to integrate future versions of ourselves. Their music and lyrics seek to capture the tension and mystery of what we do not understand, coming from logics that escape our usual ways of existing.

Accomplished vocalists Mingjia Chen and Linnea Sablosky will bring O’Reilly’s vision to life in an exceptional interpretation of her groundbreaking composition, while also premiering a series of new hockets that O’Reilly originally wrote for two flutes.
