With their absurdist blend of acid beats, modular synthesis, and traditional instrumentation, Berlin’s masked mavericks Istanbul Ghetto Club have rapidly captured global attention.

Born in the city’s underground, the anonymous collective channels its DIY club spirit into their mischievous live performances, twisting together a bright, melodic techno, rich in microtones thanks to the incorporation of the Turkish saz.

Through a tongue-in-cheek lens, their surreal, nonlinear storytelling charts the continuums of East and West, modern and traditional, experimenting in the colourful playground in between. Seductive pitch bends, driving bass lines, and dense, saturated synth textures are their hallmarks, fuelled by a desire to cut against the grain and let improvisation and instinct take the lead.

Clubs and festivals around the world, including Nuits Sonores, Berlin Atonal, Fusion Festival, Lente Kabinet, Maxim Gorki Theater, and VENT Tokyo, have witnessed their unpredictable and sensational shows, each one a fresh and body-moving spectacle. Hot off the release of their debut album, SOME TALES TO BOOST YOUR UNNECESSARY MIND ACTIVITY (2026), Istanbul Ghetto Club are igniting the global dancefloor, leaving behind a fever dream-like impression that lingers long after the party is over.

Liquid acid bass collides with Turkish folk motifs in Istanbul Ghetto Club’s punk-tinged techno mutations. Emerging from Berlin’s underground, the anonymous collective melds real-time modular synthesis with traditional Anatolian instrumentation, pulling the dancefloor into a surreal, technicolor reverie where East meets West.
