Hailing from the UK and now based in Montréal, jamvvis reworks the raw energy of UK jungle and early drum and bass into a sound distinctly their own. From the age of 17, the producer and artist was igniting dancefloors across cities like New York, Toronto, Chicago, and Los Angeles, propelling the future bass and hip-hop scene forward, leaving their distinct musical mark with every set.

Now operating in a self-made lane of precise textures, inventive sound design and infectious basslines that keep crowds moving, they’ve collaborated with artists including The Kount, Dom McLennon, Elujay, even pioneering the “808 glide” alongside J.Robb.

From performances on the global stage to headlining sets in underground scenes, the Shift Radio booker and operator continues to create space and visibility for queer expression within electronic music, cultivating fertile terrain for a forthcoming generation of junglists.

For their performance at MUTEK, jamvvis will be accompanied by YFBOB, a Montréal-based duo combining forward-thinking electronic production with live drumming.
