LoidisUS
Somewhere between minimal techno, dub textures, and microhouse, under the name Loidis, Brian Leeds establishes a music of drift and intimacy. Better known for his work as Huerco S. and Pendant, he sculpts lush, slow-burning soundscapes, a style he jokingly labels “dub mnml emo tech.”
Emerging from Kansas in the early 2010s, Leeds first caught attention with outsider house before moving toward increasingly introspective terrains. With A Parade, In the Place I Sit, The Floating World (& All Its Pleasures), he introduced Loidis as a more tender, sensuous outlet, deepened further by One Day, a double album praised for its saturated melodies, tactile rhythms, and emotional depth.
Rather than nostalgia, Loidis reflects a quiet renewal: a way to reconnect with sincerity and sensuality on the dancefloor. Drawing inspiration from early 2000s minimalism and dub techno, Leeds offers listeners not just a sound, but a world: human, fragile, and softly utopian.
