Somewhere in Montréal, M Salaciak is in a tiny room surrounded by synthesizers and drum machines, reading manuals and schematics, slowly going mad.
Seeking to unleash each machine’s potential, rather than simply “make music”, he mines a gritty, industrial-leaning sound, where driving techno frequencies and dense, jagged textures lock into persistent, pulsing unison.
When he does leave said room, it’s to bring his hypnotic live sets to stages across Montréal, or to co-run Temple Records, a forward-thinking techno and experimental club label, alongside Richard Wenger (Richard) and Adam Feingold (Ex-Terrestrial).
