Marc-Antoine BarbierCA/QC
Member of the groups Choses Sauvages and Totalement Sublime, Marc-Antoine Barbier is an established name on the Montréal scene. With Choses Sauvages he released a self-titled debut album in 2018. The band issued a few one-track releases before releasing a second album, Choses Sauvages II, in 2021 and a third, Choses Sauvages III, in 2025. The group has also stood out internationally, notably in France, Germany, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
Marc-Antoine Barbier is also a member of the experimental-pop trio Totalement Sublime. In 2021 the group released a self-titled debut album influenced by Japanese music and New York avant-garde. They followed with a micro-album, ALT-15, before beginning work on a double album, Albédo and Parhélie. This ambitious third effort was composed in front of audiences during improvisation sessions, notably at the MUTEK festival in 2022.

Electronic music, analog textures, and saxophone meet in his real time recreation, provoking an immersive, non-linear listening experience balanced between spontaneous improvisation and the record’s existing sound world.
