Monsieurmadam is the sonic moniker of Montréal-based multidisciplinary sound artist Al Haytame Farsane, whose practice merges experimental electronic music, ritual vocal work, and diasporic memory.

Moving fluidly between club culture and sound art, their compositions operate at the threshold of ritual and rave, using the voice as both personal archive and sonic force. Through field recordings, distorted harmonies, and textured rhythmic structures, their work explores migration, queerness, belonging, and the emotional blur between human and machine.

As a performer and producer, Monsieurmadam is known for immersive live sets that collapse boundaries between sound design, club music, and storytelling. Their work has been presented internationally and across Canada, including at POP Montréal, PIQUE Festival (Ottawa), Rinse.fm (Paris), NTS Radio (London), Radio Flouka (Paris), and N10.AS Radio (Montréal). In 2025, they released the singles GIRL TALK and PUFF/PASS, followed by the FLIGHT FANTASY EP, accompanied by listening events and live performances. Their sound design and compositional work extends to film, radio, and contemporary dance, with projects presented at Image+nation Queer Film Festival and festivals in Berlin, Vancouver, and Toronto.

Live | World Premiere

In the world premiere of FOOL, Monsieurmadam navigates the emotional storm that follows transformation. Experimenting live with electronics, vocal gestures, and immersive sound design, they draw the audience into a heightened state of perception where deconstructed club rhythms, trance-inducing chants, and layered textures emerge without fixed resolution.
