Nicolas Bernier CA/QC — Ensemble d’oscillateurs
On a table an old oscillator emits a stable frequency. It is connected to a loudspeaker and a tuning fork. When the tuning fork is struck by the solenoid, a beat arises to mark the friction between the two oscillations, between the electronic and the acoustic. This device stimulates contemporary creations by guest composers at the crossroads of electronic, experimental, mixed, and improvised music. The project enables the development of group playing techniques in electronic music, a paradigm that is still uncommon in this milieu.
