Patche is much more than just human machines—even though they are surrounded by electronic equipment, there is also a certain feeling to their music. Propelled by five old friends who play in or collaborate with acts like Mon Doux Saigneur, Alex Burger, Klô Pelgag, Lumière, Duu, and zouz, the Montréal instrumental combo dives into electro with modular synths at the forefront, augmented by a punk drive thanks to the addition of a drum machine, acoustic drums, electric and synthetic bass, and synthesized harmonica.

Patche is a form of electronic music that is both psychedelic and motorik, forged from hypnotic rhythms and atypical loops, summoning experimental rock, Berlin School techno, art rock, avant-garde, and EDM in a swirling whirlwind. The band has graced major stages in Quebec (Montreal Jazz Festival, La Noce, FME) as well as across the Atlantic (Pelpass Festival, Bars en Trans, Reeperbahn, Rockomotives...), including European and UK tours: hypnotic, immersive shows that inevitably induce dancing, even trance—and in which the audience is an integral part. Following Patche (2023) and Document (2024), Mode, their third album, was released in October 2025 on popop.
