Eric Quach, known as thisquietarmy, is a Montréal-based guitarist and experimental sound artist who has spent over two decades crafting expansive ambient-drone soundscapes. With more than 50 releases on labels like Consouling Sounds, Midira Records, and Denovali, he is a prolific presence in the global experimental scene. He has performed nearly a thousand shows in over 40 countries, including appearances at FIMAV, Le Guess Who, and Red Bull Music Academy. Known for his improvisational depth, Quach collaborates with members of Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Voivod, and Nadja, and is active in projects like Hypnodrone Ensemble, Tempête Solaire, and Some Became Hollow Tubes.
Bruna Wanderley Gonçalves, known asMothrspace, is a Brazilian multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and composer whose work spans experimental, metal, and classical music. Rooted in improvisation and Brazilian popular traditions, she began cello at 18 under the guidance of Ocelo Mendonça. Now based in Montréal, she is the voice and cello force behind underground band Kapitur. Her emotionally charged compositions often merge processed cello with vocals, exploring themes of resistance, retribution, and introspection. Currently studying performance at Concordia University with acclaimed cellist Isabelle Bozzini, Mothrspace continues to carve a visceral and genre-defying path through contemporary sound.
Thisquietarmy & Mothrspace — Flor do Cerrado
Live | World Premiere
In Flor do Cerrado, thisquietarmy & Mothrspace dissolve the boundaries between organic resonance and electronic abstraction. Live-processed cello and textured guitar merge into a haunting soundscape—at once intimate and alien. A raw, atmospheric dialogue where the natural world meets its digital echo.
