Violent Magic Orchestra (VMO)JP
Located somewhere along the space-time continuum between now and 2099, Violent Magic Orchestra (VMO) fracture the notion of hardcore, splicing its threads into an explosive style of black metal-infused trance.
Comprised of members ザスター (Zastar), メーヘム (Mayhem), ダークスローン(Darkthrone), ゴーゴーロース (Gorgoroth), and エンパラー (Emperor), along with visuals from Kezzardrix, the “extreme art” collective merges the raw energy of punk and metal with the chaos and catharsis of hardstyle dance music.
Luminous distortions, ethereal synth melodies, rapid-fire gabber rhythms, and seismic vocal eruptions swirl together in their towering, symphonic arrangements. On stage, a barrage of blinding strobe lights, smoke machines, and large-scale visuals collapses the live experience into a singular, perception-shattering void.
With a power consumption equivalent to 56 guitar amps firing at once, their raucous live sets have ignited festival stages and nightclubs around the world, from Roadburn and Sonar to Le Guess Who?, with an appearance at Berlin’s Berghain.
