Famille5 Header 2024

MUTEK Festival, an international celebration of electronic music and digital creativity, is proud to announce the (almost) completed program for its 25th anniversary edition. From August 20 to 25, 2024, artists and music lovers from all over the world will gather in Tio'tia:ke / Mooniyang / Montréal for six days of immersion in sound and visual art.

The Festival will put forth almost 80 live performances in several emblematic spaces in the heart of the city, in particular Quartier des spectacles: starting with esplanade Tranquille, which annually gathers an increasing amount of Montréalers, Québecers, and international tourists of all ages and backgrounds, to rejoice each day in the last rays of sun. In 2023, over 46,000 people enjoyed a rich and diverse selection of music, all of it free.

For the indoor program, festival-goers will discover avant-garde artists and electronic music trailblazers from all over the world, with evolving visual scenographies adapted to each space: MTELUS, Théâtre Maisonneuve at the Place des Arts and the Society for Arts and Technology [SAT], which now houses MUTEK's offices and offers a new cutting-edge sound and visual environment.

Last stop on the itinerary: New City Gas, which will host a special event including the world premiere of Patrick Watson's new instrumental project, unleashing his modular synthesizer talent in the company of surprise guests.

This 25th edition promises to be a landmark event of the summer. More than ever, audiences will be able to satisfy their desire for discovery and experience memorable emotions, indoors and out.
