Free DJ Sets to Catch at MUTEK 2026

M27 DJ Sets 0 Cover

From techno and house to experimental pop and electro, six genre-bending DJ sets are taking over the Esplanade Tranquille for MUTEK this summer.

Catch them for free from August 25 to 30 at the outdoor Expérience stage before keeping the momentum going inside.

Festival Schedule

Barker

Techno, experimental, electro

Berlin-based musician Barker has gained widespread recognition for his left-field approach to ambient techno. His 2025 album Stochastic Drift reshaped the genre by foregoing its traditional kickdrum anchor, making way for airy electronica and colourful glitching melodies, without ever straying too far from the dancefloor.

Zora Jones

Club, pop, R&B

As a DJ, producer, vocalist, and visual artist, Zora Jones has been shaping global dancefloor culture for over a decade with immersive electronic experiences that traverse blistering club pressure and glossy hyperpop futurism. Between heart-racing hooks, pounding rhythms, and bright synth distortions, her sound navigates fragility, survival, and defiance in the face of pain.

Polygonia

Techno, bass, breakbeat, IDM

Matthew Herbert

Electro, experimental, minimal

As much a social activist as a musician and storyteller, Matthew Herbert translates his unique worldview into thought-provoking electronic music using found sounds from the physical world. From exploring the complete life of a pig and crafting a body of music using a horse’s skeleton to capturing the sounds of a crowded nightclub or a tank driving over a meal prepared for Tony Blair, his sonic narratives aim to disrupt the status quo, spotlighting some of the world’s most pressing issues.

JakoJako

Techno, club, house, minimal

Berghain resident JakoJako exists in the space between the technical side of electronic music and its more emotionally charged half. As a live performer and DJ, she searches for spontaneity amongst the mathematical patterns of arpeggios and loops, locating kinetic energies that convert into moments of dancefloor catharsis.

A Guy Called Gerald

Acid, club, jungle, tech house

An essential pioneer of jungle music, A Guy Called Gerald broke ground by pushing the genre from its early abrasive form towards a more liquid and atmospheric feel. His 1995 album Black Secret Technology is credited with helping pave the way for today’s drum and bass.
