In Numinous Machines, Sonya Stefan and Stephanie Castonguay delve into the liminal space of near-death experiences, blending analog and digital techniques. Using modified turntables, macro imagery, and graphical notation, they merge sound and image into a visceral audiovisual journey. This premiere explores the intersection of decomposition, sacred geometry, and tactile sound creation, offering an evocative and deeply physical performance.

This project emerged from the residency call for proposals between the Avatar centre and MUTEK.
