Whether you're discovering them for the first time or revisiting familiar favourites, these records offer a deeper introduction to the ideas, sounds and creative worlds that will unfold live across the festival this August.

Barker - Stochastic Drift (2025)

Genre: ambient, club, techno

Gracing Pitchfork’s “Best Albums of 2025” list, Barker’s second studio release sees him experiment even further with his “beatless” techno, leaving behind the kick drum and predictable groove patterns in exchange for weightless ambient electronica inspired by probability theory and statistics.

CUERPOS - Sin Orden (2026)

Genre: post-punk, dub, techno

The latest offering from Montréal post-punksters CUERPOS, Sin Orden is four tracks of thumping dubbed out basslines, hypnotic Latin-tinged rhythms, and sheer underground angst. Incisive vocals and echoes of 90’s techno build the intensity before they drop into moodier passages.

Dave Huismans - ex_libris - 003 (2026)

Genre: ambient, deep house, experimental

On the the third installment in the ex_libris series, Dutch musician Dave Huismans reaches even further into the corners of experimental deep house and left-field grooves. Liquid synths, syncopated percussion, and organic textures sprawl out over pounding subterranean basslines.

Debit - Desaceleradas (2025)

Genre: ambient, experimental

A moody, contemplative ambient album and Mexican producer Delia Beatriz’s homage to cumbia rebajada, i.e., half-speed mixtapes pioneered by Sonido Dueñez in 1990s Monterrey. Pitched-down tape loops, acoustic accordion, and modular synths warp into the haunting spectre of a cultural archive that refuses to disappear.

Jump Source - Fold (2026)

Genre: deep house, dub techno, breakbeat

The acclaimed debut album from Montreal’s cornerstone electronic duo Jump Source, i.e., producers Patrick Holland and Priori. An ode to the dancefloor packed with seductive house rhythms and playful pop sensibility, with features from POiSON GiRLFRiEND, billy woods, Helena Deland, and more.

Noémi Büchi - Exuvie (2026)

Genre: IDM, experimental

An electroacoustic meditation on transformation by Swiss artist Noémi Büchi, twisted together from video game, anime, and pop influences. Inspired by the distorted realities of Francis Bacon and Salvador Dali, symphonic flutters and eerie dissonance trace how the body absorbs, remembers, and alters.

Poirier - Il n’y a pas de Sud… (2001)

Genre: ambient, experimental<

The first album from prominent Montréal figure Poirier puts his distinctly warm and stripped-back approach to ambient production on full display. Out of 2001 comes a cloudy mix of slow, enveloping grooves, luminous chords, and hypnotic lo-fi minimalism fit for hazy summer days.

Vivian Li - Sonic Memories Of Fleeting Times (2026)

Genre: ambient, experimental

A soft ambient album from Chinese-Canadian artist Vivian Li that delivers on ASMR-like textures and healing potentials of sound. An intimate personal archive built on synthesizers, field recordings, and electroacoustic technique to create metallic flutters, delicate looping structures and gradual harmonic shifts.

Voices From the Lake - II (2025)

Genre: ambient techno, minimal

The long-awaited follow-up to the 2012 cult debut from ambient techno oracles Donato Dozzy and Neel. An immersive flow of slow-building textures, scintillating percussion and hypnotic loops that move into alternate realities, from forest-reminiscent soundscapes to mysterious aquatic minimalism.
