Isabella SalasMX/QC
Mexican-born artist Isabella Salas (she/her) moved to Montréal in 2001 to pursue BFA Major in Film Production. Her interdisciplinary artworks are grounded in the exploration of and preservation of nature and cultural assets using artificial intelligence, video, synthesized sound and installation as mediums. She has been recognized by some important contemporary art happenings at the Société des Arts et Technologies, MAPP MTL, Music Motion Hacklab, MUTEK and MUTEK AI Art Lab, Immers(ed) UK, Gamma Festival (RU), TransArt Festival (IT), Polaris Music Awards 2020, Voltaje (COL), and CUNAMEX (MEX).
Salas’ newest works will be exhibited during the next season in Montréal, Mexico City, and Barcelona.
