Nedine MoonsamyZA
Nedine Moonsamy (she/her) is a Senior Lecturer in the English department at the University of Pretoria. She is currently writing a monograph on contemporary South African Fiction and otherwise conducts research on science fiction in Africa and is part of the Urban Cultures and Popular Imaginaries in Africa (UCAPI) project. Her debut novel, The Unfamous Five, published by Modjaji Books, was shortlisted for the 2021 HSS Fiction Award, and her poetry was shortlisted for the inaugural New Contrast National Poetry Award in 2021.
