Originally from Toronto and now rooted in Montréal, producer Jordan Gardner is known for his genre-blending style that melds the varying rhythmic cadences of UK soundsystems and Detroit with global club rhythms. One half of the duo ÈBONY, his music inspires moments of movement and euphoria in equal measure.
Solidifying himself as a force in the Montréal scene, Gardner’s tracks have become staples in the sets of Bonobo, Majid Jordan, Ben UFO, Ritchie Hawtin, Jacques Greene, Tim Sweeney (Beats In Space), Dixon, Marco Carola, Jamie Jones, Ame, Anja Schneider, ANZ, Tiga & many more on the circuit.
As of late, he’s set his sights on further exploring his Jamaican and British heritage, inspired by a chance encounter with a distant uncle known as “Fadda Benjie,” who ran a championship winning Soundsystem in the UK. His forthcoming work, Iridescent Riddims, was borne of the encounter. Crafted from samples and dubplates, the work is sculpted through the lens of the regional variations of dub, bass, house, techno and electro, and overheard by Gardner during his travels as a DJ across Canada, Mexico and Central America in 2025. The sonic anthology is set to be released on famed Korean nightclub Cakeshop’s boutique label Carousel Seoul, and makes its live debut through Gardner’s performance at this year’s MUTEK Festival.
