Those familiar with the Password Journal will find a sanctuary in wetdogg’s playful electronic pop productions. Borrowing from a wide spectrum of genres ranging from techno, acid, and club to IDM and indie, the Detroit-born artist returns to a nostalgic yet futuristic sound inspired by the early internet. Minimal drum loops, wobbly synths, and wistful vocals crafted on hardware evoke a sense of presence only reached by stepping out of today’s data-driven technosphere.
In the artist’s own words: “wetdogg was born in a grotto in Detroit, Michigan with a mission to bring information to the masses. Through sonic awakening, wetdogg’s mission is to enlighten the subconscious and shine light on the deepest crevices of the human psyche. Allowing pathways back into animalistic intuition and away from the technocracy; dig a hole, plant a seed, run in circles and free your mind.”
Wetdogg’s latest album, pssssssp…, was released on Detroit’s Hold Me Recordings in 2026, a ready escape route for those willing to venture into the artist's offbeat sonic world.

Live
Y2K relics and lost-era hardware become vessels for primal awakening in wetdogg’s off-kilter bedroom pop imaginations. The Montréal-via-Detroit artist’s woozy acid bass lines, dusty minimal drum loops, and bleeping techno synths offer a playful return to the intuition and intimacy of the pre-algorithm age.
