Two Montréal-based artists perform at Rewire Festival

From April 9 to 12, 2026, the international festival Rewire takes over The Hague’s city centre for its 15th edition.

A festival dedicated to adventurous and exploratory music, Rewire unfolds across a range of venues—concert halls, theatres, churches, clubs, galleries, and public spaces—offering a broad view of experimental creation and genre-defying sound practices.

With an artistic vision closely aligned with MUTEK, this collaboration continues this year with the aim of strengthening our international ties and amplifying Québec’s digital and audiovisual creation. Two Montréal-based artists will take part in this new edition of Rewire:

Ouri

Based in Montréal, Ouri shapes a musical language that moves across electronica, glitch, dream pop, and bass—entirely self-produced, from composition to mixing and mastering. Her album Daisy Cutter (2025) unfolds a world built on a radical exploration of desire, discipline, and intimacy. Shifting between lo-fi ambience, future garage, and contemporary soul, she interweaves harp, cello, and piano with synthesizers, granular self-sampling, and digital processing, preserving the textures of the real: room noise, vocal grain, and tonal imperfections. The result resists categorization.

Performances:
Sat Apr 11 / 18:00 - 18:45 / Korzo - Studio
Sun Apr 12 / 17:15 - 18:00 / Koorenhuis

Kee Avil

Kee Avil blends guitar, voice, and electronics into a space where avant-pop, glitch, and experimental folk intersect. Through lo-fi productions with detuned guitars and deconstructed sounds, her voice delivers songs that are both intimate and marked by a dark aura. Following two albums released on Constellation, Crease and Spine (2024), she is currently developing Vapor (2026), released song by song on NNA Tapes as an evolving sonic journal.

Performance:
Sat Apr 11 / 18:15 - 19:00 / PAARD II

Reflecting the many international collaborations fostered by MUTEK, MUTEK Montréal is proud to support these artists and to help bring Québec talent to audiences around the world.

This co-presentation is made possible with the financial support of the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec and the Québec Delegation.
