KohuiKR

Kohui explores relationships connected to sound through the act of sensing it. Observing natural phenomena, forms, and methods, he constructs algorithms that create relationships between predictability and unpredictability. He reconstructs these relationships, expanding how sound is perceived and shaping perspectives on nature, humanity, and sound.

He has presented audiovisual performances at WeSA Festival, ACT Festival, SICMF, MUTEK Montreal, and MUTEK X INSCAPE and exhibited in group shows at the National Asia Culture Center, Seoul Museum of Art, Platform-L, and Dialog(). He was selected as a HYUNDAI ZER01NE Creator in 2022 and co-founded the artist collective TAKA. He has served as an adjunct professor at the Korea National University of Arts.

Kohui KR 5,6 August

5,6 August tells the story of an artist maintaining a "natural state" in a space, the moment of that natural state. Based on the sense of that moment, it expresses the sensibility of communion between nature and the artist.
