Nora GibsonUS/QC
Nora Gibson is a new media artist and choreographer whose work delves into the intersections of body-mind, selfhood, and conscious experience. She creates immersive sound installations, bio-reactive video and light pieces, interactive works, choreography, and full dome projections. Holding a BFA in Dance from NYU's Tisch School and an MFA in Intermedia from Concordia University, Gibson's choreography has been showcased at numerous prestigious venues including Joyce SOHO, Dance Place, and The Williams Center for the Arts. Her innovative new media projects have been featured at MUTEK Montréal, Ars Electronica, and the Satosphere. Gibson's interdisciplinary approach is enriched by her internship at the BIAPT neuroscience lab at McGill University, highlighting her commitment to exploring the dynamic relationship between technology and human perception. Additionally, she shares her expertise through teaching dance and new media practices.
