Stephen Ramsay is a musician and producer from Montréal, best known for his work as a founding member of the electronic pop band Young Galaxy, alongside Catherine McCandless, and for his ambient/drone project Light Conductor, with Jace Lasek of Besnard Lakes.
Jason Voltaire is a Montréal-based interdisciplinary artist. An in-demand motion graphics designer and programmer, Voltaire has worked with artists such as Jacques Greene, Avalon Emerson and Young Galaxy. He is perhaps best known under his dance music/DJ pseudonym, Martyn Bootyspoon.

World Premiere
For this year’s MUTEK, Montréal-based musicians Jason Voltaire and Stephen Ramsay debut their new live electronic act, Plumbing. After discovering a mutual love of thicc music and well-delivered shocks to a specific order of primates, they convened in Ramsay’s studio in a low-key fashion for the better part of two years, improvising filthy tracks on analog synths and drum machines into the small hours of the night. Characterized by blinding energy and chaos, Plumbing’s MUTEK set will be their world premiere.
