Six Days of Amplified Sound and Digital Creativity
MUTEK Festival is back from Tuesday, August 25, to Sunday, August 30, 2026 for six days and nights of digital creativity and electronic music in the heart of Montréal. Centred on amplification, the 27th edition remains true to the festival’s boundary-pushing spirit, with a rich and multifaceted lineup of local and international artists.
In addition to free performances at the esplanade Tranquille, this year’s indoor program takes a new step forward by taking over iconic venues including the Society for Arts and Technology, MTELUS, Maison Symphonique and, for the first time, Les Grands Ballets’ Studio-Theatre.
A broad view of contemporary sound and visual art
This year's festival features nearly 120 artists from 28 countries, many of whom will be making their Montréal debut. Structured around five series of varying intensities, aesthetics, and methods of engagement, the 27th edition showcases a wide range of contemporary practices in electronic music and digital creativity, from live performances and immersive audio-visual works to dance experiences and hybrid creations.
