Joanna DudaPL

Joanna Duda (she/her) is a pianist, composer, and visual artist who creates experimental music with elements of improvisation, jazz, and IDM. Duda has released solo projects, such as 2019’s KEEN Alpaka, and with the Joanna Duda Trio, which has performed at festivals around Europe and North America. Both are characterized by combining electronic and acoustic sounds in an osmotic and organic way. Duda has composed music for Erotica 2022, the first Polish film for Netflix Originals. Duda also scored The Cudak, directed by Anna Kazejak. Duda also performs contemporary music, and has collaborated in an electronic-acoustic trio with Krzysztof Knittel and Marek Choloniewksi which they presented during the 2019 Ad Libitum Festival. Duda has been a member of the Wojtek Mazolewski Quintet since 2008. Duda also creaties video-art installations; together with Katarzyna Pastuszak, Duda co-created the audiovisual spectacle SKIN. She has composed music for many theater performances, including Nomadic Woman and Kantor_Tropy: Collage for Amareya Theater.
