Julien Racine aka Racine is a Montréal-based artist and composer. He has three releases to his name, the most recent being Quelque chose tombe, which came out in 2020 on the Swiss label Danse Noire founded by Aïsha Devi. Garnering international media attention, this album also took Racine on a European tour in spring 2020 where he played several venues including Berlin’s Ohm club (alongside Raime, Dis Fig, Bill Kouligas & Tash LC).

Themes of generalized fatigue, hypochondria, the subconscious, and the chaos of modern times provide the backdrop to Racine’s visceral and complex sound.

Beyond the music scene, he has also partnered with other artists on films, audiovisual works, and sound installations. He co-founded the Collection Libérée research collective, and he is a member of the duo Corporation with Keru Not Ever.
