Every year, during the festival, we record the performances to let you relive those unique moments shared on the dance floor. This week, diverse and international influences for eclectic shows with SPRLUA, SUFYVN and The Cyclist.
SPRLUA
For their first MUTEK appearance, SPRLUA’s live/DJ set hybrid performance mainly focus on tracks from Magnum Dopus and Magnum Dopus 2 (their debut album and its remixed version), combining brisk and electrifying Amapiano, Afro House and R&B rhythms with vintage House effects, along with a sprinkling of Rap.

SUFYVN
This performance by SUFYVN continues the artist’s experiments with Sudanese and Nubian sounds within an electronic music context, such as dance, IDM, and experimental genres. While showcasing the cultural musical traditions of Northern villages of Sudan, SUFYVN demonstrates the potential for electronic music to expand and evolve by embracing various influences and aims to challenge preconceived notions of what electronic music can be.

The Cyclist
The Cyclist’s performances never disappoint. Favoring an approach that does not tolerate laptops, The Cyclist will propose an intoxicating blend of reworked original compositions, punctuated with unreleased material and live improvisations for his first appearance at MUTEK Montréal.
