Every year, during the festival, we record the performances to let you relive those unique moments shared on the dance floor. This week, Unusual performances that play with our emotions with Sheenah Ko, Skesa and SPIME.IM.
Sheenah Ko
Montréal-based musician Sheenah Ko presents her latest album, Future is Now, and its hypnotic, dancey songs, filled with raw emotions. A real feast for analog synth lovers, Ko's expansive 80s flavored compositions are an ode to atypical synth-pop music.
Skesa
Laid back house and techno vibes with organic samples and intricate percussions, that's Montreal-based Skesa's special blend of dance music. Cerebral, technical, with abstract melodies and groovy beats, Skesa's rhythms and anthem-like general feel are addictive.
SPIME.IM
Grey Line is a live A/V show by media art collective SPIME.IM. The performance delves into themes related to contemporary issues with raw sincerity, namely the inevitability of climate change and humanity’s impact on the earth. SPIME.IM attempts to describe the emotional place in which we are trapped and the "era of the absurd" we are living in.
