Charline Dally is an artist based in Tiohtià:ke/Mooniyang/Montréal. A graduate of Le Fresnoy – Studio national des arts contemporains, their practice spans film, installation, and audiovisual performance. Working with analog technologies, they manipulate video signals generated by electrical currents to create hybrid images that disrupt temporal logic and challenge our perception of reality.

Driven by an interest in cultivating deep listening and inspired by the subversive potential of radical softness, they approach hypersensitivity as a form of power. Their work has been exhibited at the Museum of Contemporary Art (Toronto), Musée d’art de Joliette, PHI Foundation (Montréal), Les Abattoirs – Frac Occitanie (Toulouse), and at festivals including Images (Toronto), CTM (Berlin), Festival du Nouveau Cinéma (Montréal), and Ann Arbor Film Festival.

Their recent solo exhibitions include this womb of things to be at Diagonale (Montréal, 2024) and blue vessel at Caravansérail (Rimouski, 2025). In 2025, they are invited by the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal to create a new audiovisual performance with their duo, le désert mauve. They have collaborated as a visual artist with Laraaji, Four Tet, Anetha, Young Marco, N NAO, Fly Pan Am, Ciel, Renart, and Acid Arab. Their films are held in the collections of Vtape and Vidéographe.
