Octo Octa has transitioned from a fringe IDM artist to a central figure in the house music scene since her 2011 debut EP "Let Me See You". This release not only showcased her compelling blend of house rhythms and detailed sound design but also catapulted the 100% Silk label to wider recognition. Beyond producing music, Octo Octa’s work is a reflection of her deep, personal journey, resonating through her compositions which often intertwine with themes of togetherness, love, and healing.
Her third studio album, Resonant Body, was notably recorded in her New Hampshire cabin, a setting that deeply influences her creative output. This environment, rich in natural beauty and personal significance, fuels her production style, infusing her tracks with the essence of the surrounding forest and river, and the energy of her personal rituals. In 2019, alongside her partner Eris Drew, she co-founded the label T4T LUV NRG, further emphasizing her commitment to creating music that is not only heard but felt, focusing on embodiment and survival. Octo Octa's distinctive approach lies in her ability to merge physical soundscapes with emotional narratives, crafting tracks that engage the body and soul in equal measure.
