For its residency on Rinse France, MUTEK presents a set by IHA, a Vancouver-based artist and producer who runs the NAGA label and organizes celebratory events.
With this mix, IHA aimed to achieve two goals: to craft a sonic palette for an upcoming live performance with ephemeral objects as part of the duo i+eo, and to highlight respected producers whose work they enjoy playing as a DJ—mainly in festival settings, select cutting-edge clubs, or for more introspective listening sessions.
The mix features several queer producers and artists (monosym, Lemna, othrworld, MV², Prieste5s, Birthname) and strikes a balance between tracks from Europe and North America, with strong representation from Canada.
IHA will also be performing Portals, a world premiere, this year at MUTEK’s 26th edition in a duo with ephemeral objects under the name i+eo. Tickets available.
