Digital Art and Sound
Electronic musician and sound artist, Andrea Ludovic’s (she/her) music career began with classical music studies, and was further developed in the Electronic Engineering program at the Universidad Simón Bolívar in Venezuela. She has five years of experience as an educator, teaching digital synthesis in museums and universities such as the Museum of Contemporary Art in Caracas. Ludovic is constantly researching human emotion. In this particular moment, the critical situations the world is going through is especially inspiring her to generate philosophical questions for human kind which surely will be transformed into music. The multi-presence we are expected to have, while experiencing the collapsing of dimensions: reality and virtual reality. The investigation on human relationships through and with the virtual realm is this year´s artistic obsession, which she plans to develop with artists Robin Buckley (rkss) and x/o for the project founded by the Amplify D.A.I Collaboration Fund.
AMPLIFY D.A.I is an initiative of the British Council in partnership with MUTEK Montréal, MUTEK Buenos Aires, Artlab in Argentina, Oi Futuro in Brazil and Somerset House Studios in the UK. The programme is supported by Canada Council for the Arts, Instituto Nacional de la Música and Fundación Williams.
