Jenny Maritza Ramirez Osorio (Jennitza)AR
Jennitza (she/her) is an interdisciplinary artist, composer, and radio producer. She specializes in sound design and composition in the fields of experimental and electronic music. Her soundworks range from the fusion of the classical instruments with synthesizers, sequencers, and real-time soundscapes, to the creation of immersive spaces. She has developed her artistic path from collaborative projects with various artists and disciplines among which are dance, film, theater, animation, poetry, among others. Each of her projects have been developed between the limits and meeting points of the digital and the analog, as well as the individual and the collective. She has participated in various festivals and sound compilations in Latin America and Europe. Through her works she seeks to decolonize listening and highlight the Latin American sound memory.
AMPLIFY D.A.I is an initiative of the British Council in partnership with MUTEK Montréal, MUTEK Buenos Aires, Artlab in Argentina, Oi Futuro in Brazil and Somerset House Studios in the UK.
