A Bay Area native now based in Barcelona, Shawn Reynaldo (he/him) has been involved in electronic music for more than two decades, most prominently as a music journalist. Although he's contributed to outlets like Pitchfork, NPR, RBMA, Resident Advisor and DJ Mag, he's perhaps best known these days for First Floor, which has quickly become one of electronic music's preeminent newsletters. Outside of the journalistic realm, he's also thrown parties (Icee Hot, Tormenta Tropical), run record labels (Icee Hot, Bersa Discos, Double Negative) and spent lots of time in the DJ booth.
