General overview

Théâtre Maisonneuve is a large-scale performance venue located at the heart of Quartier des Spectacles in Place des Arts.
The A/Visions 1 and A/Visions 2 events are open to all ages, but please be aware that they may not be specifically geared towards young audiences.

Outside alcohol is not permitted at any time

Space access and navigation


Wheelchair accessibility

Spaces are provided for individuals in wheelchairs. To be eligible for these spaces, you can contact the ticket office at Place des Arts by phone at 514 842-2112 / 1 866 842-2112 or by email at info@placedesarts.com.
Both main entrances (1600 Saint-Urbain Street and 175 Sainte-Catherine Street) are equipped with ramps and platforms, both outside and inside, to facilitate access for individuals in wheelchairs or with reduced mobility. However, it is recommended to enter through the door located at 1600 Saint-Urbain Street.

There are 12 wheelchairs available. If needed, please approach the central security area located near the ticket office.

During show hours, a dedicated attendant from the customer service team is available to assist individuals with reduced mobility in moving around. To receive assistance, simply present yourself at the entrance of the venue.

For those who require more spacious seating, you can have a more comfortable experience by reserving an adapted wheelchair. You can request this upon your arrival at the venue on the day of the show, subject to availability. Please note that these adapted wheelchairs are available in limited quantities.

Bathrooms

Wheelchair accessible and gender-neutral bathrooms are located on the ground floor and on all other floors, at the same location as the other bathrooms. These facilities are equipped with support bars and are spacious enough to accommodate electric wheelchairs.

Stairs and Elevators

Théâtre Maisonneuve has a main floor and balconies, accessible via stairs or elevators located on each side of the venue.

Water

Please bring a re-usable water bottle.
There will be 2 water fountains available per floor.

Available food

No food will be provided during our events at Théâtre Maisonneuve. However, several restaurants are located near the venue. You can refer to this page for more information.

Non-alcoholic beverages

The bars, located on each floor, offer a variety of non-alcoholic beverages.

Support animals

Certified guide dogs are allowed. When purchasing your ticket, please contact the Place des Arts ticket office to ensure you have the appropriate seating in the venue.

Child care is not provided for this event.

Transport


Accessible transit

To use the STM’s Accessible Transit service, visit https://www.stm.info/en/para.

It is recommended that you disembark at the entrance of the Saint-Laurent metro station located at 1600 Saint-Urbain.

Bike

Bike racks are available near the entrance located at 1600 Saint-Urbain. Surrounding bike paths are along Saint Urbain Street (protected lane) and Maisonneuve Boulevard (shared lane).

Bixi

Several BIXI stations are also located near Place des Arts. The closest station is at the corner of Maisonneuve and De Bleury streets. You can check the interactive map to locate other BIXI stations.

Metro

From the Place-des-Arts metro station on the green line, you can directly access Théâtre Maisonneuve without going outside. Elevators are available at the De Bleury exit.

Bus

Place des Arts is accessible by the following bus lines: 15, 24, 35, 55, 80, 125, 129, and Express lines 465 and 480.

Parking

You can park your vehicle on the surrounding streets of Quartier des Spectacles, following the current regulations.
An underground parking lot is also available at 1450 Rue Saint-Urbain. Several reserved spaces are available for holders of reduced mobility permits. Inquire at the parking booth or email info@placedesarts.com, or reserve your spot by calling 514 842-2112 / 1 866 842-2112.
These spaces are easily found on all three levels of parking P1. They are close to an elevator that leads to the entrance level of the halls. Additional spaces are available in section P of parking P2, at the level of the main foyer leading to the performance halls.

Sensory Information


Visual and auditory effects may affect certain individuals negatively. Photosensitivity varies from person to person; please note that while we do our best to identify shows in advance that may trigger reactions, many of our performances are audiovisual and may contain visual elements, including lights or strobe effects, that could trigger reactions.

Scents

No fragrances are used in the production of the shows.

LSQ Music Interpretation

LSQ music interpretation is not available for this event. However, Théâtre Maisonneuve is equipped with a tuning system that allows deaf people to receive the show's signal. You can bring your own radio/player with headphones and tune it to FM frequency 89.9.
