For the 2024 edition of MUTEK festival, taking place in the Quartier des Spectacles from August 20th to 25th, 2024, and on the occasion of the celebration of 25 years of innovation in electronic music and digital creativity, Artexte and MUTEK invite you to explore the history of this festival with its eclectic and outstanding artistic proposals through a showcase exhibition.
Thanks to MUTEK’s donation of documents to the Artexte collection, discover 25 years of key moments and artists of its past editions, both in Montreal and at the International.

Founded in 1980 in Montreal by a group of women, Artexte is a publicly accessible library, information centre and exhibition space whose mandate is to promote the interpretation and dissemination of Quebec and Canada contemporary art from 1965 to the present day.
With a unique collection of over 30,000 published documents covering various aspects of the visual arts, Artexte aims to support research in the field of contemporary art through its significant documentary resources made available to researchers, artists, cultural workers, students and amateurs from the local and national art community. In addition, Artexte supports critical approaches to creation and interpretation of today’s visual arts through a rich programming of innovative exhibitions, activities related to research, to dissemination and publishing (Artexte’s Editions).
