After having been technical manager of the Satosphere at SAT, then director of research and development at Moment Factory, Guillaume Bourassa is now director of research and development at Rodeo FX. Co-founder of Création Ex Nihilo, he has more than 15 years of experience in the field of digital arts. As a multidisciplinary artist, Bourassa uses all the tools to optimize the creative process and thus generate a visual expression that transgresses the meaninglessness, the repetition or the formula.

Founded by artists Francis Théberge and Mylène Cabana in 2001, TiND (thisisnotdesign) collective has developed its own live audiovisual creation techniques. By hijacking common analog audio and video equipment as well as digital tools, TiND creates intense and singular imagery that visually echoes the original sound material. Their live performances are laboratories of real-time experimentation: an eclectic mix of controlled improvisations with prepared interventions and controlled mistakes.

FROID CA/QCPermanence Live A/V

Death and rebirth are the central themes of this new project. With Permanence, FROID takes us on a journey through desolate landscapes, in a world devoid of warmth but bathed in a light of its own. A stripped down visual expression and a mix of harsh vibrations, cavernous atmospheres, striking synths and broken strings will carry the viewer towards this impression of perpetuity. Permanence is a study and an attempt to dwell in eternal existence; a guided journey through the most simplistic state of being.
