Montreal, November 8, 2022 - SODEC is launching the call for projects for Quebec producers for the 7th edition of Atelier Grand Nord XR, which will be held from April 28 to May 3, 2023 in the Mauricie region. It will be followed by two days of company visits in Montreal on May 4 and 5 (program to come).

A variation of the traditional Atelier Grand Nord scriptwriting workshop, but focusing on virtual reality, augmented reality or mixed reality, Atelier Grand Nord XR brings together French-speaking teams of projects in development (two people per project, including the producer and one member of the creative team) from France, Belgium, Switzerland, Luxembourg and Quebec. The workshop offers a privileged opportunity for participants to discuss their projects with experts, to provide food for thought on their respective works, to promote the circulation of ideas and points of view, while creating links with the aim of encouraging peer work on future productions or co-productions.

Successful Quebec projects will receive a grant of $100,000 CDN to develop their expertise.
