Montréal’s cultural heart, the Quartier des Spectacles, showcases innovative projects from every video discipline. Its outdoor spaces are canvasses for exploring and displaying new forms of work for urban public space and several building façades on its territory are dedicated to architectural video projection. The trend to experiment with digital art in urban spaces is in fact a global one and we have invited a number of key creators and curators from Montréal and abroad to present their work and reflect together on the creative, aesthetic, technological, political and societal implications and challenges of architectural mapping and other forms of digital imagery in the urban public space. Presented in collaboration with the Quartier des Spectacles Partnership and MAPP_MTL.
