This summer, MUTEK Montréal welcomes Max Cooper for a special event that opens a new dialogue between music, technology, and human experience.
For the 26th edition of the festival, the British composer and multidisciplinary artist will present Lattice 3D/AV, a new audiovisual work created in collaboration with Architecture Social Club, alongside selections from his latest album, On Being.

Built from thousands of anonymous confessions gathered over the past two years, On Being is a living, evolving project that integrates audience contributions directly into its performances and digital artworks. By reversing the traditional dynamic between artist and audience, Cooper draws inspiration from collective experiences rather than imposing his vision. It’s an open invitation to reflect, connect, and co-create, continually shaped by new voices throughout the tour. Anyone wishing to anonymously share their thoughts and participate in shaping the project's future can visit onbeing.maxcooper.net/on-being.
Lattice 3D/AV is his latest immersive audio-visual performance comprising projections, semi transparent layers, lights and lasers working together in unison to form extruded imagery that jumps off the screens into the audience.
