After celebrating 25 years of Dieu du Ciel! in 2023, this year we're celebrating digital creativity and electronic music with MUTEK Montréal's quarter-century.

For the occasion, the Dieu du Ciel! brewery, a privileged partner of MUTEK Montréal, developed an anniversary beer: MUTEK Digit'Ale

Brewing savoir-faire in service of the digital arts

Conceived in winter 2023, developed in spring and available for summer 2024, this beer is a Dieu du Ciel! original, designed by François Croué, head brewer at the Montréal brouepub.

"Fresh, aromatic American Pale Ale with fruity notes of peach, citrus and tropical fruit. Spelt and oats balance the hoppy nose, adding depth to the smooth, delicate texture. This beer is designed to be rich in flavor, yet light and easy to drink. It's sure to please fans of hops as much as those with a thirst for discovery!" - François Croué

MUTEK Digit'Ale is the fruit of a collaboration between the digital and brewing arts. An original edition to celebrate 25 years of creative effervescence. A beer with fruity notes and a silky texture, ideal for a radiant dance!

Sabrina Ratté is a Canadian artist based in Montréal, and a close associate of MUTEK, with several works presented over the years. She creates ecosystems that evolve within interactive installations, video series, digital prints, sculptures and virtual reality. Her works explore the convergence of technology and biology, the interplay between materiality and virtuality, and the speculative evolution of our environment.

For MUTEK and Dieu du Ciel!, Sabrina Ratté's visuals present a dreamlike and digital scene, marked by a palette of vibrant pastel colors that evoke an ethereal and surreal mood. Organic and architectural forms seem to melt into a shimmering aquatic environment, creating an impression of futuristic, utopian landscapes. Elements of vegetation, harmoniously integrated into the composition, add an organic touch to this digital universe. Pixelized textures and fluid color transitions accentuate the electronic traits, which oscillate between the virtual and the tangible.

MUTEK will be celebrating its 25th anniversary from August 20 to 25 in Montréal. Among the selection of beverages available at the Festival bars, you won't want to miss Digit'Ale.
