ValesuchiCL/BR
Valesuchi approaches music as a space for sonic, emotional, and spiritual exchange, rather than a product to be consumed. She began producing and DJing in her teenage years, following the death of her older brother, whose equipment she inherited. This transmission marked the beginning of an intimate process of mourning and creation, in which machines became tools for introspection and connection.
Her live performances—played entirely on hardware—are central to her artistic path. Since her debut on the Cómeme label in 2010, at the invitation ofMatias Aguayo, she has favored improvised sets built from synthesizers, drum machines, and samplers. Valesuchi cultivates an instinctive and open approach, where each appearance is unique, shaped by the moment, the setting, and the audience. Spontaneity, attentiveness, and a kind of intuitive precision guide the way she plays. On stage as in the studio, she gravitates toward deep textures and steady rhythms, preferring sensual grooves and nuanced soundscapes over percussive or aggressive aesthetics. As she has stated in several interviews, she distances herself from club music that lacks groove or emotional connection.
